Optemistix Privacy Policy

Depending on how you use Optemistix, we may collect or process:

• Account information: your name, email address, user ID, and information necessary to create, authenticate, and manage your account. 
• Content you create: affirmations, reflections, journal entries, bookmarks, goals, to-do items, reminders, saved content, and similar information you choose to create or store. 
• Community content: messages, reactions, and media such as photos, videos, voice/audio, and other content you choose to share through Optemistix Groups, along with call-participation information where applicable. 
• Purchase information: subscription or purchase history. Payments made through the mobile application are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Optemistix does not receive or store your complete payment-card information. 
• Technical information: device and session information, push-notification tokens, diagnostic information, and other technical data reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Services. 
• Support communications: information you provide when you contact Optemistix for customer service, technical assistance, feedback, or another support request. 
• ChatGPT plugin information: when you use the Optemistix plugin through ChatGPT, information necessary to complete your request may be transmitted between ChatGPT and Optemistix. This may include the topic, text, or instructions you intentionally provide when requesting an affirmation, reflection, goal-setting assistance, encouragement, or another Optemistix feature. 

We ask users not to submit Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, full payment-card details, passwords, authentication credentials, or other highly sensitive information unless a particular Optemistix feature expressly requires it.

We use information to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, provide Optemistix features, deliver affirmations and daily content, support reflections and goals, operate Groups and communication features, provide reminders and notifications that you enable, process subscription access, respond to support requests, maintain security, troubleshoot problems, prevent misuse, and comply with applicable legal requirements.

Information submitted through the ChatGPT plugin is used to respond to the Optemistix request you initiated and to provide the requested feature or experience.

Optemistix does not sell personal information obtained through the Services.

Certain Optemistix features may be available through ChatGPT.

When you use the Optemistix ChatGPT plugin, OpenAI may process your ChatGPT interactions in accordance with OpenAI's applicable terms and privacy policies. Information necessary to fulfill an Optemistix request may be transmitted to Optemistix.

Optemistix processes only information reasonably necessary to provide the requested functionality.

If a future plugin feature permits you to connect an Optemistix account and intentionally save information, such as a reflection, goal, affirmation, or other content, that saved information will be associated with your Optemistix account and handled under this Privacy Policy.

Optemistix does not sell information received through the ChatGPT plugin or share it with third parties for their independent advertising purposes.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for their independent advertising or marketing purposes.

We may use service providers that process information on our behalf solely to operate and support Optemistix. These may include providers supporting cloud hosting, databases, application infrastructure, Apple App Store and Google Play services, push notifications, communications, real-time calling, artificial-intelligence functionality, transactional email, security, analytics, and technical support.

These providers may process information only as necessary to perform services for Optemistix and are subject to applicable contractual and legal obligations.

We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, regulation, or a valid governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights, or safety of Optemistix, our users, or others.

We use reasonable administrative, organizational, and technical safeguards designed to protect information.

Data transmitted between users and Optemistix is protected using secure transmission technologies such as HTTPS/TLS where applicable.

No online system or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.

We generally retain account information and user-created content for as long as an Optemistix account remains active or as reasonably necessary to provide the Services.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time through: Profile → Settings → Delete Account

Please contact us from the email address associated with your Optemistix account when possible.

Following account deletion, Optemistix may retain only limited, anonymized, aggregated, or legally required records that do not contain personal content, except where applicable law requires or permits longer retention.

Purchase records maintained independently by Apple, Google, or another app marketplace are governed by that provider's policies.

For ChatGPT plugin interactions that are not intentionally saved to an Optemistix account, Optemistix will retain information only for the period reasonably necessary to process the request, maintain security, troubleshoot technical issues, and comply with applicable law.

"Limited technical and security logs associated with plugin requests are not retained on our servers and are processed with Zero Data Retention (ZDR), unless temporary retention is required to mitigate an active security incident or comply with law."

You may access, correct, update, or delete personal information through available Optemistix account features or by contacting us.

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may provide additional rights regarding access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection to certain processing.

You may stop using Optemistix at any time, delete your account, disable optional notifications through your device settings, or uninstall the Optemistix application or plugin.

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

The Optemistix Services are intended for users age 13 and older and are not directed to children under 13.

Optemistix does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 was collected without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy when Optemistix features, technology, legal requirements, or business practices change.

Material updates will be reflected by changing the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
